Born and raised in the thick of the cold woods of Upper Michigan, V was brought up with a steadfast work ethic an a love of quiet, natural beauty. He attended the Peck School of the Arts in Milwaukee, WI, earning a BFA in Film & New Media (Class of 2013) where he was simultaneously mentored by the program’s co-founder. filmmaker and renowned photographer, Professor Dick Blau.
While under the direction of Prof. Blau, he worked on multiple experimental documentaries, prepared photographs for print and publication, including “Elephant House” and “Polka Happiness”. He also curated and restored a series of photographs for a collaborative, multimedia exhibit titled, "Meet Me At The Garde”, a photographic and musical performance history of Milwaukee's folk and blues counterculture in the 1960's.
In 2015, he made his way to Los Angeles where he has resided since, working on a myriad of projects, both on-set and post production. Most notably, he has been the primary editor for team Mr. Kate since 2017. The channel, often called the "HGTV of YouTube", is an interior design series featuring hundreds of long-form episodes, with 500+ million total video views.
He has also worked with the Vision For Justice Campaign (2021), and the #JustUs Campaign's, "Rebuilding the Table at the 2020 DNC", aiding in their missions to amplify the voices of abolitionists and formerly incarcerated individuals fighting for criminal justice reform and building restorative justice within social and political spheres.
